Michelin Guide 2007Michelin Guide 2007: Noura Belgravia

Having made their name in Paris, the owners set their sights across the Channel and opened their first London restaurant here in Belgravia in 2000.

It undoubtedly challenged any preconceptions by being a big, bold and brash room which was both decidedly contemporary and reflective of the Zeitgeist. Today, it's as busy as ever, especially with larger tables and parties for whom the surroundings are ideal. Nonetheless, the staff remain stoically immune to the enthusiasm of their customers.

A slightly less formal approach is adopted at lunch, with a keenly priced lunch menu on offer. The main menu is a dazzlingly long affair, with authentic Lebanese delicacies designed for sharing. Those new to it all should try the set menus or selected platters.
