Michelin Guide 2007: Noura Central
The nearer one got to Piccadilly Circus, the fewer choices of restaurant one usually had. However, Noura Central changed all that when it opened in 2004.
This capacious Lebanese restaurant, together with its equally roomy bar, offers a wide selection of Levantine dishes in richly colourful surroundings. Assorted mezes, charcoal grilled meats, various fish platters and rich, sweet pastries all feature on the extensive menus and provide sufficiently varied choice for all tastes.
The decoration is exuberant and lavish, matched by an atmosphere that's never less than animated, thanks in part to the extensive cocktail list and the decent prices found on the wine list.
The occasional DJ also ensures that the noise levels don't fall below party mode.
